The first E-2 of Air Astana featured a special Snow Leopard livery, which was intended to draw global attention to the threat of extinction faced by this large wild cat, which is a native to the mountain ranges of southern Kazakhstan.

Expo 2017 Astana was an International Exposition which took place from June 10 to September 10, 2017 in Astana, Kazakhstan. The expo's theme was "Future Energy". The whole fleet gained special titles on the occasion, with the exception of 757 P4-MAS and A321 P4-OAS.

Kazakhstan was the last Soviet Republic to declare independance, on December 16, 1991. 10 aircraft received the special decals (2x 767, 6x A320 & 2xA321).

Kazakhstan's capital city Astana and largest city Almaty both hosted the 7th Asian Winter Games. Short-lived decals. At least 3 757, 2 A320 and a Fokker 50 got the special decals.
